Happiness joined our firm in November, 2016, to replace Diane Kuhns who retired in December 2016. Happiness received her Master’s in Business Administration degree in 2001. She has a background in the medical profession as CEO/Owner of a home healthcare business called Certified Skilled Nursing Services & Associates located in Dumfries, Virginia which she has successfully run since June 2004. Now we are grateful that she is ready for a new challenge of becoming a part of the legal profession and lending her business and leadership expertise as well as her heart for serving others, to our law firm.
Happiness is active in her local church and enjoys volunteering her time (board member) to local charitable organizations. You can read about Happiness’ life story in her book that is appropriately titled “Her Name is Happiness”.
Laura is the other kind voice you may hear from as she continues to update our client asset reports and reviews the files to make sure we have proper verifications of trust funding. Additionally she coordinates and helps plan our Annual Client Reunion, our workshops and our educational classes. She has been with the firm since early 2014. Laura was born and raised in Southern California, and graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.S. degree in Psychology. She has been a home school Mom, worked for the local library for over 10 years and served as a registrar, principal and curriculum developer for Cornerstone Christian Academy in Woodbridge, Virginia. She currently is an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and is involved with fund raising for several charitable organizations. Laura deserves special recognition for her extraordinary patience in being able to put up with Doug for over 35 years as his wife. She also loves being a grandma of two special grandchildren, Savannah and Caleb.
